The Hirschmann SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC Rail Switch is an industrial Ethernet rail switch. This industrial switch is an 18-port, unmanaged DIN Rail-mounted Ethernet switch from the SPIDER II network switch family of Hirschmann unmanaged switches. The Hirschman SPIDER II line of industrial Ethernet rail switches provide the users with economical yet highly reliable and durable Ethernet switches. These switches feature a very compact and rugged design suitable for extreme industrial applications. The SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC Rail Switch is specially designed for industrial automation applications. Its rugged design provides long-term reliability as well as flexibility in harsh and extreme industrial environments. It supports secure mounting on a DIN Rail, and it comes with an IP 30 industrial enclosure rating. The SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC Rail Switch has 4 front LEDs and 4 network port diagnostics LEDs that provide link, power, and data rate information.
The SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC Rail Switch features sixteen 10/100 Mbps high-speed Gigabit Ethernet ports (copper RJ-45 ports) and two 10/100 Mbps fiber-optic SFP sockets. The RJ-45 twisted-pair ports allow for connections according to the IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX standards and they support auto-negotiation, auto-crossing, auto-polarity, 10 Mbps half/full-duplex, and 100 Mbps half/full-duplex configurations. Its 2 SFP ports offer network connections according to the IEEE 100BASE-FX/1000BASESX/1000BASE-LX standards, and they support the 100 Mbps half/full-duplex mode by using Ethernet transceivers. The SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC Rail Switch has an operating voltage range between 18 and 32 Volts DC and a maximum current rating of 0.45 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC Rail Switch has a wide operating ambient temperature range of -40 to 70 degree Celsius and it is designed for use within a 10 to 90% non-condensing relative humidity range.
