About SPIDER 8TX

The Hirschmann SPIDER 8TX switch is an industrial Hirschmann Ethernet switch which supports the store and forward switching modes. The SPIDER 8TX switch is an unmanaged switch with eight 10/100 BASE-TX Ethernet ports. The physical interface on the switch ports is an RJ-45 interface. The cable type which can be used for connecting to the switch ports is the twisted pair Ethernet cable. The maximum length of a single Ethernet cable segment is 100 meters. The SPIDER 8TX switch runs on DC power: the supported range of input voltages is 9.6 to 32 Volts DC and the maximum current consumption rating of the switch is 160 milliamps. The maximum rated switch power consumption is 3.9 Watts. According to the switch specifications, the heat dissipated by the switch is 13/3 BTU per hour at 24 Volts DC input.

 

The SPIDER 8TX switch is designed for DIN rail mounting. The approximate weight of the switch is 177 grams and it measures 40 x 114 x 79 millimeters.
