The RS20-1600M2T1SDAU Unmanaged Switch is an industrial Ethernet switch that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann Automation. This switch can provide an Ethernet connection to the different equipment that is located at distances of up to 5000 meters away with a multi-mode fiber mechanism. This switch can also provide connections through a twisted pair cable to nearby devices that are located within a distance of 100 meters from the switch. The Hirschmann Automation RS20-1600M2T1SDAU Industrial Ethernet Switch is suitable to be used on a DIN Rail, specifically a 35-millimeter one. This switch is meant to be pushed down on the DIN rail until it snaps into place, and then its terminal block can be installed on the DIN Rail with it so these devices can be grounded together.

The Hirschmann Automation RS20-1600M2T1SDAU Industrial Ethernet Switch includes 16 ports in total and one plug-in terminal block that consists of a 6-pin connector through which the voltage is transmitted to the switch. This switch operates with a voltage of 12 to 48 Volts DC and 24 Volts AC. It can operate with redundant voltages of 9.6 to 60 Volts DC and 18 to 30 Volts AC. The Hirschmann Automation RS20-1600M2T1SDAU Industrial Ethernet Switch has an MTBF rating of 42.6 years and it can operate without any trouble at a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius and within a relative humidity range of 10 to 95 percent without condensation. This switch comes enclosed in an IP 20 rated enclosure, which should be upgraded if the switch will be exposed to harsh environments so that the performance of the switch is not compromised and its operating life can be extended. A fan can also be installed to cool the switch in hot environments.
