The M1-8MM-SC module is a media module that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann and Belden. This media module is a member of the Hirschmann rack mount switches product line and it is designed to be installed with a Hirschmann Workgroup switch from the same product line. The M1-8MM-SC media module will act as the interface for the Workgroup switch that hosts it and it provides the switch with 8 additional Ethernet ports that expand the total number of Ethernet communication ports that the switch accommodates. All 8 of the Ethernet ports that the M1-8MM-SC media module comes with are DSC fiber-optic ports that use multi-mode cables. This media module is best suited for the modular and managed types of Workgroup switches such as the MACH102 Workgroup switches.
