The Hirschmann GRM20-MMMMMMMMSZ9HHS Greyhound Switch Media Module is a rack-mounted industrial Ethernet network module that is designed to provide cost-effective switched network solutions to entry-level applications. The module belongs to the Hirschmann Greyhound GRM20 switch family, and it is designed for meeting the special requirements of different industrial automation applications with Greyhound switches. The GRM20-MMMMMMMMSZ9HHS Media Module features premium electronic components for long-term reliability, and it features an enhanced thermal management system for operational flexibility and reliability. The GRM20-MMMMMMMMSZ9HHS Media Module is supplied with 8 fiber-optic ports. These ports are 100 Mbps multimode SC fiber-optic Fast Ethernet ports with a maximum patch length of 4000 meters.
The GRM20-MMMMMMMMSZ9HHS Greyhound Switch Media Module supports simplified configuration via a command-line interface from an external management station or through a PC with appropriate terminal emulation. It also supports USB configuration via a built-in USB port. By using the USB port, users can store operating system and configuration data on an external storage device, thus simplifying the configuration process. Operators can conveniently monitor and visualize network parameters using the HiVision network management software. The power for operation is supplied via the Greyhound switch’s power supply module. This power supply module provides 24 to 48 Volts DC voltage. It also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and (PoE+), providing up to 30 Watts of power to PoE-enabled end devices over the Ethernet network. The GRM20-MMMMMMMMSZ9HHS Media Module has a standard operating temperature range and an IP 30 ingress protection rating. Its operating temperature range is between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius, and a working relative humidity range of 5 to 95% (non-condensing). The GRM20-MMMMMMMMSZ9HHS Media Module is designed to meet relevant industry standards such as the CE, FCC, and EU Safety standards.
