The D4K-PSU-PANEL device has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann and Belden to be a spare part for the rack mount industrial backbone switches from the Hirschmann DRAGON product line. The D4K-PSU-PANEL device is a blind panel that is made to fit the PSU or power supply unit slots in a Hirschmann DRAGON rack mount backbone switch. Many of the Hirschmann DRAGON rack mount backbone switches are designed with 2 power supply unit slots so that they can support redundant power supply setups and minimize downtime and data losses. However, if a rack mount backbone switch with 2 power supply slots does not need a redundant power supply or if its second power supply unit slot is not currently being used for any reason, the D4K-PSU-PANEL blind panel can be used to fill this empty slot.

The Hirschmann and Belden D4K-PSU-PANEL power supply unit blind panel will keep the empty rack mount backbone switch power supply slot clean and safe so that it can be used later without needing to be cleaned or serviced first. This blind panel can keep dust, dirt, and moderate amounts of moisture out of the power supply slot. The D4K-PSU-PANEL power supply unit blind panel measures 23 x 10 x 220 millimeters and it weighs about 0.05 kilograms. This blind panel is easy to install securely and easy to remove when necessary. It has approximately the same ambient and environmental specifications as its host switch. The D4K-PSU-PANEL blind panel’s ambient operating temperature range is from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and the highest relative humidity level that it can tolerate is 95% without condensation.
