The D4K-LC-PANEL blind panel is a spare part for the backbone switches and media modules from the Hirschmann DRAGON product line of rack mount switches, modules, accessories, and spare parts. This small device is simply a blind panel that is used to cover or fill in an otherwise empty line card slot in a DRAGON backbone switch or DRAGON media module. The D4K-LC-PANEL blind panel can only fill 1 empty line card slot at a time, so if there are multiple empty line card slots in a switch or media module that will not be filled with line cards right away, they should all be covered or filled with blind panels. These blind panels will protect the line card slots from dust, dirt, water, and chemicals which could damage the slots and make them unusable.

The D4K-LC-PANEL blind panel for the Hirschmann DRAGON series rack mount backbone switches and modules weighs 0.05 kilograms and its dimensions are 220 x 10 x 23 millimeters. This blind panel is designed to be easy to install in the empty line card slot, to fit securely into the slot, and to be easy to remove when necessary, which makes it easy to replace with a functioning line card when necessary. The D4K-LC-PANEL blind panel is sold separately from the switches and modules that use it in a small package.
