The Hirschmann RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch is a DIN Rail-mounted Ethernet network switch with Fast Ethernet ports that is designed to provide an Ethernet network that meets the IEEE 802.0 standards in any Industrial Ethernet-based automation system. The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch belongs to the Hirschmann RS20 Basics Ethernet switch family and it comes with an unmanaged switch option as well as the managed one. The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch supports software programming and USB configuration. By using the HiVision network management software, the operators can visualize and monitor network parameters such as the alarms, bandwidth utilization, the available devices connected on the network, and the auto-configuration of new switches. The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch also supports the Hirschmann HiOS switch operating system, which provides the users with high levels of functionality and advanced diagnostic tools.
The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch, like all the RS20 Basics switches, offers programming flexibility via the HiDiscovery configuration tool which allows for easy assigning of the IP address on all the connected Hirschmann devices. It also supports the HiView programming tool which offers the users a web interface capability without web browsers or any Java-installed library on a PC. The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch supports low-voltage operation with a SELV Class 2 standard power source, and it supports DC or AC voltage operation. The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch comes with 2 Type-D power plug-in connectors and a fault contact for monitoring switch functions. It has an operating voltage range of 9.6 to 60 Volts DC or 18 to 30 Volts AC and maximum power consumption rating of 9.6 Watts. The RS20-1600S2S2SDAUHHXX.X. Managed Switch is supplied with 14 standard RJ45 ports that support the auto-negotiation, auto-polarity, and auto-crossing functionalities. It also comes with 2 single-mode SC fiber-optic uplink ports that support the 100 BASE-FX connectivity with a transceiver.
