About MS30-0802SAAE

The MS30-0802SAAE MICE Switch Backplane belongs to the MS30 series of products made by Hirschmann. It is a managed piece of Ethernet-based modular industrial communication equipment that supports pluggable media modules. It meets large industrial bandwidth requirements while providing a large number of ports for connections. The basic backplane unit offers a range of functions including the switch function, management function, adjustable control, display control, and the redundancy function. This backplane module works perfectly without a fan as long as proper heat dissipation through air-cooling is maintained. It can be easily installed on a DIN Rail by simply snapping onto it. It allows for easy reconfiguration after errors or power failures with its redundancy setup. The MS30-0802SAAE Backplane Module can be monitored by using a web browser or telnet.

The MS30-0802SAAE MICE Switch Backplane has 18 to 32 Volts DC operating voltage, 233 milliamps of rated current consumption, and a -40 to 70 degrees Celsius operating temperature range. The module's bottom side has 2 power terminal blocks, a DIP switch, and a USB port. It offers 8 indicator LEDs to provide the device status updates. The protection class of the MS30-0802SAAE Backplane Module is IP 20. It supports an expansion module that adds 2 extra slots to connect more media modules. It provides a potential-free relay contact as the signaling contact for error detection. Its power terminal block accepts AWG 12 wire size as the maximum acceptable wire size. Its terminal block uses the snap locks when mounting for making the power connections. The lower panel of the housing must be grounded via the DIN Rail or a separate ground screw. The MS30-0802SAAE Backplane Module is designed to meet the unique requirements of different industrial automation applications.
