The product code BRS40-8TX-EEC represents a BOBCAT managed Ethernet switch with 8 RJ45 ports. The supported port speed ratings are 10 megabits per second, 100 megabits per second, and 1 gigabit per second. The BRS40-8TX-EEC switch supports cable lengths of up to to 100 meters and it connects to a power source with an operating voltage range of 12 to 24 Volts DC. The unit has a power consumption rating of 8 Watts and power output rating of 27 BTU per hour. The device provides different software capabilities for security such as port-based access control with 802.1X, an integrated authentication server, access to management restriction by VLAN, device security indication, a configurable password policy, SNMP logging, local user management, remote authentication via RADIUS, and user account locking.
