Product Overview
The Cisco catalyst WS-C3560G-24TS-E is an energy efficient switch in the 3560 series of switches. It is very functional as it combines PoE and twenty four (24) 10/100/1000 Ethernet port configurations. It is a multilayer switch in a 1 Rack Unit (1RU) fixed configuration.
Technical specifications
The WS-C3560G-24TS-E specifications include the 4 SFP based gigabit Ethernet ports with 24 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports and IPS image for optimal efficiency. Its specs allow it a forwarding bandwidth of about 32 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 38.7 Mpps (similar to the WS-3560G-24TS-S). The WS-C3560G-24TS-E has inbuilt flash memory of 32 MB and a DRAM of 128 MB. It offers up to 9018 bytes of Jumbo frames on the Ethernet ports for bridging. It weighs 12 pounds (5.4 kg) and has the following dimensions (H x D x W): (1.73 x 14.9 x 17.5 in. (4.4 x 37.8 x 44.5 cm)). Its architecture offers a Layer 2 switching for both intelligent services & basic connectivity and a Layer 3 switching as well. It also features an external power supply, hardware redundancy, unicast suppression and spanning tree.
Power information
The Cisco catalyst WS-C3560G-24TS-E comes with an RPS connector to supply either AC or DC input to it. There is a range for the internal power supply input voltages: 100 VAC and 240 VAC (It is auto ranging). About 0.10 kVA of DC input voltage can be supplied by this RPS connector. At a measured throughput power consumption of 5%, the switch power is rated at 66 W and the total Output BTU at 225 BTU per hour, while at 100% throughput power consumption, the switch power is rated at 74 W and the total Output BTU at 249 BTU per hour. The MTBF of the WS-C3560G-24TS-E is rated 230,700 hours at a maximum power supply rated 100 W.

Additional Information
January 31, 2012 was announced as the end of life, eol for the Cisco WS-C3560G-24TS-E while, the date that has been announced as the end of sale, eos for this product is January 30, 2013. The end of support for this product can be seen in the cisco datasheet (link below). The replacement product would be the catalyst WS-C3560X-24T-E which is a 24 Port Data IP Services Catalyst 3560X series switch.
