The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750X-48P-E switch is an enterprise-grade solution. This version is a stackable switch with an exceptional scalability feature. The Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) technology enables the switch to power some of the devices that do not consume a lot of power. This way, Ip-calls CCTV cameras and other devices can be easily connected to the network.
Power Supply
WS-C3750X-48P-E is powered by an internal 715 W AC power supply. The switch itself uses 300 W and the rest is distributed using PoE+ technology. You can also purchase an additional redundant power supply if you need more power.
Power Capacity
Up to 435 W of power can be distributed by the switch through its 48 ports. Up to 15.4 W per port can be used to power the devices connected to the network.
Configurations
WS-C3750X-48P-E comes with 48 10/100/1000 Ethernet PoE+ ports , an internal 715 W AC power supply and an IP services feature license for the Cisco firmware. The whole thing can be fitted into 1 rack unit (RU).
Stacking
This switch uses Stackwise and EnergyWise stacking technologies. The first one enables the consumer to connect up to 4 switches into one network unit that is controlled the same way as a single switch. The second technology optimizes the power distribution between the ports of the switching unit.

The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750X-48P-E is supplied with 256 MB DRAM and 64 MB Flash memory to carry out the switching operations. It can support up to 1000 VLANs at a switching fabric of 160 Gbps.
