Features and Benefits
The traffic in the switch can be separated into different broadcast domains by the use of VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) technology.
The switch offers Ether Channel links to be made for redundancy and throughput with the assistance of link aggregation protocols such as PAgP and LACP. DHCP is a protocol which can be deployed in the network to provide automatic assignment of IP addresses to all the network devices. This feature is supported in the switch. The switch also supports layer 3 routing protocols along with multicast packet forwarding features. HSRP and VRRP are commonly deployed in the networks to provide redundancy in case of a switch failure. Both HSRP and VRRP are supported by the switch.
Cisco‘s Technical Assistance Center offers support on Cisco products; Service with configuring, troubleshooting switch’s software and hardware related issues.
