Cisco Catalyst WS-C3560X-24P-S is next-generation enterprise class network switch model. It is powered by the Cisco IOS firmware that provides the best efficiency, and failure-proof for its performance. It is a standalone version of the switch that is not meant to be stacked, but its price is much more democratic compared to stackable versions.
Power supply
The switch is powered by an internal AC 760 W power supply with the option of adding a second redundant power supply with additional 440W. They may be used together (WS-C3560X-24P-S has 2 slots for power supplies).
Power capacity
This model supports the Power over Ethernet technology (PoE+), and can spread some of its own power capacity to the devices connected to its ports. Specifically, this switch can provide up to 435 W of power to other electronic appliances, such as cameras and IP calls.
Configuration
The switch comes with 24 SFP+ compatible 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports that can supply power to other devices. IP base feature set with Cisco IOS makes it possible to control the switch for optimal performance. The device can be mounted to 1 racking unit (RU).
Stacking
WS-C3560X-24P-S is a standalone edition of the series. If you need stackable switches with the same characteristics, try WS-C3750X-24P-S. The standalone version offers better prices for smaller enterprises. The stackable one can be used to make a larger unit of the switch.
