The Cisco Catalyst WS-C2960XR-48FPS-I is a 48 Gigabit Ethernet port with a rack mountable enclosure. It has a forwarding bandwidth of 108 Gbps and switching bandwidth of 216 Gbps. The WS-C2960XR-48FPS-I switch has functional layer 2 and layer 3 features with a PoE power of 740W. The WS-C2960XR-48FPS-I switches are made to offer operational simplicity and enhance network reliability when deployed.
Power Supply
The Cisco WS-C2960XR-48FPS-I features a dual redundant power supply. The default power is the PWR-C2-1025WAC with a PoE of 740W. The power supply has an incorporated cooling system that is comprised of fans to regulate system efficiency during power consumption. The secondary power supply is available for purchase later as a spare or bought together with the WS-C2960XR-48FPS-I switch.

The Cisco WS-C2960XR-48FPS-I switch features two stack modules, the Flexstack-Plus and Flexstack-Extended modules with stacking limits of 8. The two modules differ in that the Flexstack Plus has a stacking bandwidth of 80Gbs whilst the Flexstack-Extended module has stacking bandwidth of 40 Gbps.
