Product Overview
The Cisco Catalyst WS-C2960XR-24TS-I series switch features 24 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports with 4SFP uplink interfaces configuration. Suitable for layer 2 switching, the switch is completely stackable through flexstack-plus and flexstack extended. Engineered for operational stability and smart operations, the layer 3 routing makes Catalyst 2960-X one of the best options to be selected. Along with PoE and PoE+ support, WS-C2960XR-24TS-I now comes with IPv6 First Hop Security to avoid any vulnerabilities.
Power Supply
WS-C2960XR-24TS-I comes with a built in fixed power supply which ensures reduced power consumption and delivers advanced energy management features as well. Furthermore, the Cisco Catalyst 2960-XR models also have two field replaceable redundant power supply modules for extra support.
Power Capacity
Cisco WS-C2960XR-24TS-I Catalyst has a default AC power supply of 250W along with 24 Ethernet interfaces connectivity. Moreover, the switch can also be operated over a second power supply for which the details briefed in the installation guide can be overviewed.
Configurations
As the device supports 4 SFP uplink interfaces, IP Lite Cisco IOS Software image can be used to complete configurations for various networking requirements. The configurations are automatically updated for all SKUs as they update the firmware to ensure proper functionality. Being SFP compatible, the software configures the switch for zero touch deployment and Smart Install to avoid any further vulnerabilities. Moreover, the port settings for Auto Smart Ports are also automatically configured which ensure rapid deployment and secure operation.
Stacking
Cisco WS-C2960XR-24TS-I Catalyst Switch supports multiple stacking protocols which include FlexStack-Plus and FlexStack-Extended. When connected to a stack, the device will automatically upgrade to stack’s Cisco IOS Software version in order to accomplish the task without any issues. Having a stack bandwidth of 80Gbps for FlexStack-Plus and 40Gbps for FlexStack-Extended, 2960-XR series switches are only compatible with IP Lite Cisco IOS feature set. Stacking cables are required for all stacking modules which can be purchased separately as well.
Tech Specifications
Equipped with high end and fast performing hardware, Cisco WS-C2960XR-24TS-I Catalyst Switch is designed to deliver matchless networking support. With 4 x 1G SFP Uplink interfaces, the device has a 108Gbps Forwarding Bandwidth which allows it to reach a maximum stacking number of 8. Cisco WS-C2960XR-24TS-I Catalyst Switch is now launched with a switching bandwidth of 216Gbps which is combined with 512MB RAM and 128Mb of Flash memory.
