Product Overview

The Cisco WS-C2960XR-24PS-I Catalyst Series switch is powered with 24 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces which operates on IP Lite Cisco IOS software for all SKUs. Stackable with both FlexStack-Plus and FlexStack Extended supports, the switch is designed to automatically configure either the LAN Base, Lan Lite or IP Lite feature set. Moreover, WS-C2960XR-24PS-I has predefined POE+ and 4SPF uplink interfaces which allows users to configure and control switch settings with ease.

Power Supply

The Cisco WS-C2960XR-24PS-I is launched with multiple power supply support for uninterrupted operation. One fixed power supply is included in the packaging whereas an external redundant power supply can also be purchased separately.

Power Capacity

The switch delivers 370W PoE power along with second FRU power supply option of up to 640W. For optimum performance, the device requires a nominal voltage of AV 12/230 V along with a 50/60 Hz frequency. Furthermore, power input is controlled through Redundant Power System (RPS) connector which keeps the switch safe and secure.


WS-C2960XR-24PS-I Catalyst Switch can be configured through IP Lite Cisco IOS Software image for which 640WAC power supply is required. The available 24 Ethernet ports operating on 4 SFP Uplink Interfaces also support SFP compatibility for which the installation guide can be consulted to complete the procedure.


Stackable via both Cisco FlexStack-Plus and FlexStack Extendable, up to eight switches can be easily stacked at once. Stack bandwidth for FlexStack-Plus is set to 80Gbps whereas FlexStack-Extended delivers 40 Gbps as both of them have a stack limit of 8. To avoid any problems, allow the switch to automatically upgrade over the Stack’s Cisco IOS Software version and feature set.
