Product Overview:
The Cisco Catalyst C2960X-48LPD-L Switches have a fixed configuration with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports. Operating on Cisco IOS, they are stackable using FlexStack-Plus and FlexStack-Extended. They also support layer 3 routing features and support PoE+.
Power Supply:
The Cisco Catalyst C2960X-48LPD-L has an optional redundant external power supply (RPS) as an add-on along with the fixed main power supply of 640WAC.
Power Capacity:
Cisco Catalyst 2960X-48LPD-L supports a maximum of 12 PoE+ ports with up to 30W or 24 PoE+ ports with up to 15.4W. The total available PoE Power is 370W.
Configuration:
Cisco Catalyst 2960X-48LPD-L has 48 Gigabit Ethernet Ports along with 2 fixed 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ uplink interfaces.
The switches are configured with LAN base Cisco IOS Software image.
Stacking:
The switches support FlexStack-Plus and FlexStack-Extended. FlexStack-Plus offers to stack up to 8 stack switches. Yhe FlexStack-Plus module is an optional feature, which is hot-swappable with other 2960 catalyst switches. FlexStack-Plus allows a stacking bandwidth of 80 Gbps. Cisco FlexStack-Extended allows 40 Gbps bandwidth while supporting long-distance stacking option. Stacking cables available in 0.5, 1 or 3 Meters length, are required to use the FlexStack features of the stacking modules.
Layer 3:
The switch allows IP unicast routing protocols such as EIGRP, RIPng and OSPF, for load balancing and scaling the LANs.Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) for IP multicast is also supported. Hot Standby Routing Protocol (HSRP) and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) can be configured to provide redundancy during failovers and allow dynamic load balancing.
Security:
The switch provides security with 802.1X authentication, Access Control Lists (ACLs), private VLANs, Serial Port Analyzer (SPAN) and Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU) Guard.

Cisco Catalyst 2960X-48LPD-L has a flash memory of 128 MB, a DRAM of 512 MB and a CPU of 600 MHz dual core. It has a forwarding Bandwidth of 108 Gbps and switching bandwidth of 216 Gbps with full duplex capacity.The forwarding rate of the 64 byte Layer 3 packet is 130.9 Mpps.
