About FAN-7100-F

Product Overview:

FAN-7100-F is a spare fan module for the Arista 7048 / 7100 series switches. It provides exceptional cooling of the whole system, thus prolonging its lifecycle. The fan uses front-to-rear airflow technology, which means that the airflows from the direction of the ports thought the switch toward its backside, where the fans are installed. It moves the air through the whole switch form its front to the back and it cools every part of the switch this way.

Power Supply

The fan is powered from the switch so it has no power supply of its own.

The fan comes as a single unit without any need for software. You just plug it into the switch port for the fan and the switch turns it on automatically.

Most Arista 7100/7048 switches can support up to 4-5 FAN-7100-F fans for optimal cooling efficiency. So, a number of fans are installed into corresponding ports and work simultaneously to increase airflow through the switch. The fans are independent

Tech Support and Services

Hardware Network offers a 1-year warranty for most of the products it sells because the company answers for its quality and is always ready to help its clients. If any questions arise, the client can ask via online feedback.

Additional Information

The fan weighs only 3 lbs (2 kg). Its end of sale was due in 2013; however, since a lot of   Arista 7048 / 7100 series switches are still used, the fan is quite widespread in the industry.
