Product Overview:
The Arista DCS-7050S-52-D provides 52 SFP+ ports of 10GbE in a compact 1RU chassis with a data transfer rate of 1.04 terabits per second. It features latency of 800 to 1200 ns and a 9 MB packet buffer pool. It contains an SSD that performs advanced logging, data captures and various other services.
Operating System:
Arista DCS-7050S-52-D runs EOS operating system on a dual-core x86 CPU subsystem which contains single binary image for all products. This enables capabilities like advanced monitoring, Fine-grained modularity, VM Tracer, SFC and Stateful Fault Repair. In-memory database provides room for in-service-software updates and self-healing.
Layer 2/3 features:
Layer 2 offers 128K L2 Forwarding Entries, Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG) and 802.1AB Link Layer Discovery Protocol. It also provides Jumbo Frames (9216 Bytes), Port Mirroring and Storm Control. Layer 3 enables 16K IPv4 Routes, 4K IPv6 Multicast Routes and 32-way Equal Cost Multipath Routing (ECMP). It also offers Virtual ARP (VARP), vrf and Policy Based Routing.
Tech Specs:
DCS-7050S-52-D has a system memory of 4 Gigabytes, flash storage memory of 2 Gigabytes and an optional SSD storage of 50 Gigabytes. Operating Temperature range for this switch is 0 to 40C. It supports 32-way ECMP routing for load balancing and redundancy, 50,000 IGMP Groups and 3,000 ACLs with one RS-232 serial port.
Power and Voltage requirements:
Input voltage for this switch is 100-240 VAC and 40-72 VDC with Input Connector IEC 320-C13 for AC and AWG #16-12 for DC. This switch features reversible airflow option. It has a typical power draw of 103 W and draws maximum power of 185W. 1+1 Power redundancy option is available with this switch.
Provisioning Tools:
The switch uses ZTP to provide network provisioning through which the switch can be automatically provisioned using a dynamic configuration and preferred boot image. The switch acts as a PXE boot server, stores syslogs for audit and compliance and saves data packets using Linux based services such as DHCP and PTP.
