Product Overview:
The Arista DCS-7050S-52-D provides 52 SFP+ ports of 10GbE in a compact 1RU chassis with a data transfer rate of 1.04 terabits per second. It features latency of 800 to 1200 ns and a 9 MB packet buffer pool. It contains an SSD that performs advanced logging, data captures and various other services.
Operating System:
Arista DCS-7050S-52-D runs EOS operating system on a dual-core x86 CPU subsystem which contains single binary image for all products. This enables capabilities like advanced monitoring, Fine-grained modularity, VM Tracer, SFC and Stateful Fault Repair. In-memory database provides room for in-service-software updates and self-healing.
Layer 2/3 features:
Layer 2 offers 128K L2 Forwarding Entries, Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG) and 802.1AB Link Layer Discovery Protocol. It also provides Jumbo Frames (9216 Bytes), Port Mirroring and Storm Control. Layer 3 enables 16K IPv4 Routes, 4K IPv6 Multicast Routes and 32-way Equal Cost Multipath Routing (ECMP). It also offers Virtual ARP (VARP), vrf and Policy Based Routing.
