About SPIDER 1TX/1FX

The Hirschmann SPIDER 1TX/1FX switch is a 2-port unmanaged Ethernet switch. The switch is used for media conversion between multi-mode fiber and twisted pair copper cables. One port on the switch is a 10/100BASE-TX port and the other is a 100BASE-FX port. The 10/100BASE-TX port has an RJ-45 interface and it can be used with twisted pair network cables measuring up to 100 meters in length. The 10/100BASE-TX port supports both auto-crossing and auto-negotiation. The 100BASE-FX port has an SC interface and it can be used with multi-mode fiber. The maximum fiber length depends on the type of the cable: 62.5/125-micrometer cable can be used for up to 4000 meters of fiber length and 50/125-micrometer cable can be used for up to 5000 meters of fiber length. The optical wavelength used by the SPIDER 1TX/1FX switch for transmission is 1310 nanometers.

 

The SPIDER 1TX/1FX unmanaged switch consumes a maximum of 130 milliamps of current at 24 Volts DC input voltage. The operating voltage range is 9.6 to 32 Volts DC. The rated maximum power consumption rating is 3 Watts. The rated heat dissipation is 10.2 BTU per hour at 24 Volts DC. The SPIDER 1TX/1FX switch mounts on a DIN rail. The shipping weight of the device is 105 grams. The dimensions of the SPIDER 1TX/1FX switch are 25 x 114 x 79 millimeters. The switch housing has an environmental protection rating of IP 30.
