The RSP30-8TX/3SFP-2A switch is a managed switch that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann. It is a managed Ethernet switch that can handle both Fast Ethernet communication and Gigabit Ethernet communication. The RSP30-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet switch can be used in a redundancy system to minimize power failures and data losses. The redundancy systems or protocols that the RSP30-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet switch supports include the FuseNet redundancy protocol, the DLR or Device Level Ring redundancy protocol, the HSR or High-availability Seamless Redundancy protocol, and the PRP or Parallel Redundancy Protocol. The RSP30-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet switch can be mounted on a DIN Rail and it is designed without a fan.

The Hirschmann RSP30-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet switch needs to be managed or configured before it can be put into operation. One of the ways that it can be configured is through the V.24 interface which connects to this managed switch through the RJ11 socket. It has 11 Ethernet ports in total, and these 11 ports consist of 8 RJ 45 or 10/100BASE TX ports that support Fast Ethernet and 3 SFP slots that are rated for 100/1000 Mbits per second and that support Gigabit Ethernet. This switch’s normal operating and redundancy voltage ratings are 24/36/48 Volts DC, and the widest voltage range that it can tolerate is 18 to 60 Volts DC. The RSP30-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet switch has an IP 20 environmental protection rating and its operating temperature range is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius with 10 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
