The BRS30-8TX/4SFP-HL switch is a compact managed industrial switch manufactured by Hirschmann. It comes in a fanless design and it comes with an FE switch with Gigabit uplinks. The front side of the compact switch has 12 ethernet ports which include eight 10/100BaseTX RJ 45 ports and four 100/100 Mbit per second. The switch enables real-time communication by using TSN. It helps to promote effective communication within the network. It also helps to provide additional bandwidth capabilities. It runs with a voltage rating of 12/24 Volts DC. It can be easily mounted with a DIN Rail. The BRS30-8TX/4SFP-HL managed switch is housed inside an IP 30 rated enclosure for both indoor and outdoor use. The operating temperature should always be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius for effective use. The switch is compatible with an auto configuration adapter, a terminal block, and industrial network management software.
The BRS30-8TX/4SFP-HL managed switch has a power consumption rating of 9 Watts. Under normal operation, it dissipates 31 BTU per hour of heat. The switch supports both line and star network topologies. The switch can be easily configured by using a personal computer that is connected by using the USB port. The switch comes with advanced diagnostics features, a management conflict detection function, a port monitoring function with an auto-disable function, a link speed and duplex monitoring function, SFP management, and a switch dump function. The BRS30-8TX/4SFP-HL managed switch comes with an automatic configuration feature, a configuration fingerprint, a DHCP server, and full-feature MIB support. For network security, the switch features port security, restricted management access, local user management, user account locking, and remote authentication. The switch should not be exposed to sources of EMC noise and high heat.
