The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC-HL managed switch is a Hirschmann-manufactured Bobcat series managed industrial Ethernet switch. This managed switch can be easily installed on a DIN Rail. The switch has a fanless design and it comes with fast Ethernet ports. A total of 10 ports are present and they include eight 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX ports and two 100 Mbit/s ports. This managed switch offers out-of-the-box performance and enables real-time communication within the network by using TSN. It also helps to meet as many real-time communication requirements in modern industries and factories as possible. The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC-HL managed switch is lightweight and compact in size. The switch runs with a voltage rating of 12/24 Volts DC and it supports manual cable crossing and the port power down function. The switch is equipped with a 2-pin plug-in terminal block for digital input. The switch is protected with an IP 30 rated enclosure. It can be used in both outdoor and indoor locations in harsh industrial environments.
The front side of the Hirschmann Bobcat BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC-HL managed Ethernet switch contains the Ethernet ports along with a USB Type C port. All of these ports have their own LED indicators to show the running status of each port. Along with the ports, the terminal blocks are present on the top of the switch along with more indicator LEDs for status updates. The Ethernet ports of the switch support the auto negotiation, auto polarity, and auto crossing functions. The switch consumes 8 Watts of power and dissipates 27 BTU per hour of energy as heat during regular operation. The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC-HL managed Ethernet switch needs an environment with an ambient temperature range between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius for safe operation and storage. This switch can withstand low levels of vibration and shocks during regular operation.
